After pursuing her B.A. in Art Education, for many years she worked teaching visual art both in public and private schools at all grade levels, as well as private in-studio lessons and workshops.

Her paintings can be seen up and down the East Coast in many private collections.  Her love of jazz, as expressed in many of her paintings, has caught the eye of internationally recognized musicians.  In 2013 she was commissioned for the cover design and illustration of the book Manana Starts Today,  written by award winning author, Sandra Scott.  

Jean maintains a studio in the Providence area.  She joyfully refers to life in the studio and after teaching as "ACT III..., my turn."
